Nexxus has a shampoo, Diametress(sp?) that's supposed to thcken up hair. For breakage, use Emergencee(its a reconstructor), also from Nexxus.I haven't used either of these but people rave about them.
I have tried the CPR conditioner from Motions, its cheaper. Its pretty good in combatting breakage, especially if you wanna use heat. However, it made my scalp dry. You gotta apply a lot of oil (i.e. Hot 6 oil by Afica's Best) after you've rinsed it out. In terms of an all around cond., Nexxus' Humectress conditioner is also good ...actually, its VERY good as a moisturizer. It can be used as both a leave in cond. and one that you can be rinsed out. Good stuff overall I recently found out that Sally's carries a generic knock-off of this product under $5 I haven't tried it yet, but will soon once the bottle I have runs out. Sally's also has knock-offs of other products. Check 'em out :http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/find.asp

gurl you need to try re-gro by empress hair care, it is the first product made for African americans to take care of thinning hair. It so good that beauty shops can hardly keep it on the shelves, I have friends that have used it and I have not heard one complaint, you get results within 6-8 weeks. I got it as part of a bday present for a friend and she is loving it. It costs about $19.99 for the kit.
Here is the web addy: Re-Gro By Empress Hair Care |
