Louis Vuitton purses/bags-Authentic or Faux?

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between an authentic Louis Vuitton purse and a fake?

sometimes u can't tell, but if u wanna buy an lv product then buy from a reputable place (saks, lv boutique , neiman marcus etc) - also check for the product # , and original lock , dust bag if u're buying it new and then the quality of the leather the purse is made from. U can tell the fake from the real just from the quality of the leather a lot of times.

I have decided that I ain't buying any of those bags fake or authentic. Everyone else has em - why would you wanna plunge yourself into that whole fake - bag- wearing crowd. I have a louis vuitton top and burberry slippers and nice gap bag

Because I wanted to buy a real one...I have two but they were gifts. I wanted to by one for myself when I was on vacation in London. I went to a Louis vuiton store in Oxford Streets, and I got an original..that was all . I have never wanted to buy a fake one dear. I believe in quality not in Quantity.

my bad!,but i'll tel u what, they all too similar,really cant tell too,....but emmmm, the smell of the leather should be a criteria check that out

quality of the leather
serial # in the interior

interior of the bag, if you are getting the sonatine, the interior has a red velvet lining, if it is all tan or brown suede it's a knockoff

it should have a card with a serial number
a dustbag
color of the straps
most come with a lock and key

i had two checked out in the store because my uncle sent them for from italy. so if u want to get from somewhere not wholly reputable, like a small boutique make sure they have a refund policy and take the bag to the nearest store to have the authenticity checked out
