School

i hate to school i go to. its stupid. i dont like the way i have to sit in a room fulll of ungrateful kids who think that just becasue they got into the school life will come on a silver plate. I am sick of going to a rides house who i barely even know. i am sick of being dropped off at school with no goodbyes to my mom or dad becuase they arent in the car. i want to go to a school close to home that will be able to be good for me, but im stuck here. its so depresising and my grades are suffering and know i dont know what to do.


ME

i feel like ive been hiding behind a mask for years. a mask were Tolu is always happy and cheerful and she never gets mad. a mask were people pick on me and call me names that i of course ignore. but when i take of this mask im so hollow and i dont noe wht da hell to do.... then i feel sick and sad that i dont know who i am 14 years and i dont know who i am. ugh..

Dear Tolu,

I can think of many things to say to you, but first I would have to earn the right to be heard; I would establish common ground and then introduce you to a friend of mine who would share some of her story(ies), of how she dealt with exactly what you're dealing with.

My next words would depend on your relationship with God. THe solution I and my friends found to the emptiness, the mask over hollowness, was in Christ. I found my identity in Him and my purpose. If you believes that God is a real Person Who wants to have a relationship with each of us, I would say a lot on that vein.

And if you don't care for God, then I would simply mention it, pray for you silently, and be a living testimony. Either way, I feel that the solution to your troubles is in God and that you're in His hands. I am merely the tool He would use to make Himself known to you.
