Texturizer Vs. Relaxer

ok, my hair has sprung bac to its semi-natural state..i'm thinking about skipping the relaxer n texturizing it for the first time....is the process any differnt form relaxing it?...also, how effective is a texturizer for those who use it

i think the texturizer just makes the hair a little more combable still maintaining the springy/wet look..dunno, but my hair likes to stay course in humid weather so i might just as well texturise it...
