..going 'Natural' is the new perm nowadays. Ive tried it, the oh-so-short-almost-like-a-mans haircut and the short natural hair with gel activator and mousse. Enjoyed both hairstyles.
So if you have natural hair right now or ever did, what made you do it? And if you dont, are you willing to try it?

I can't keep natural hair. I'm a semi-dada. My hair tangles so easily even with perm in it. I have a very sensitive scalp too, I remember crying like crazy when they tried to comb or braid my hair and even with that before I get out of the house by hair is bad to the nuts like it wasn't touched earlier.
I have learned to do most things about my hair myself, so I don't need to be in the salon often.

I have below-the-shoulder length hair but its thin and keeps breaking so i'm thinking about chopping it all off for that reason ONLY. I don't think i can go natural tho'...i'll have it texturized or something if i do go short....Besides short hair don't look good on er'body

i had the skin boy cut in 2000/2001 because i wanted a more natural simple look, after it grew out a little bit I texturized it and then grew it out for a year and relaxed it. I got tired of the perm and cut it and started braiding , so it's natural now and I've been braiding it for almost a year. I'll have it out by the summer so I'll be sporting a 'fro , twists, locks etc throughout the summer. The short cut was really fresh on me and everyone loved it.

No way I was traumatized when my mom cut off all my hair when I was 8 years old. Some little boy asked me if whether I was a boy or girl. But I personally would not do that style unless I could keep it in braids.
