Doesn't make sense to me. As far as I'm concerned, like is a prerequisite for love, and when things start to fall apart, love would be the first to go. I can dislike the way a person is and still care for him, but if I dislike the person in his totality, then there is no way I could harbour any feelings of love for him, romantic or otherwise.
