Fashion In New York

I need some serious help. I'm going to be attending St. John's University in Queens, New York and I'm worried about my clothing. Now, I live in West Haven, Ct and I don't know how I'm gonna hold up against them New York chics. I need some fashion tips 'cause I need to continue to pull mad dudes, you feel me?

Y do u make CT sound so fashioless? U either have a fashion sense or u don't. New York won't change it. Buy magazine or watch fashion programs if u need tips that bad.

stay away from the university center!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
alot of the students shop in h&m, express, the village, etc

well if u rn't I just wanna tell u to maintain ur style 'cause following trends and sticking with the books is a lot of hard work. I hope u can joggle the two successfully, goodluck

Hey sis,
Don't worry ur self, u will get use to NY. Just show them ur style them flow with theirs and combine Ct & NY together. U will be different from them Be ur own. Just go shopping in NY and u will notice wat they wear.

all trends started with an original idea that caught on. Girl you are about to attend uni there and are asking for fashion tips instead of past exam papers? Be original, comfortable, confident and follow the trends if you want to but don't get lost in it. If you are really into fashion, spend time being creative making a personal fashion statment -NY is eclectic anyway; do you and Good luck at SJU

actually my opinion comes from having lived in new york and then having attended school in ct...........

there is a reason why NEW YORK is considered a fashion capital...... and CT is not thought of when you mention the word fashion

The issue here is not that fashion in NY is not better but that there is also fashion in CT. The way she made it sounded was like she had never seen any nice fashion in CT.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. All the trends will come and go. You just need to maintain your own style.

did you ever notice that once you finished high school, you dont actually care about how you dress (im not talkin bout going outside and look like a bum), but you out there in college and you gotta worry about books, tuition and all that other bullshyt. You can still look nice and dont have to spend alot of money on name brand clothes but buy clothes that will last longer and learn how to budget money. Whoever said about moving from CT to New York wont really change about the way you dress is true in some ways but different states have their way of dressing, so dont worry so much just look your best and BUDGET, BUDGET, BUDGET!!!
