I made the suya spice like you described above, except I used peanut powder (non-roasted) that I bought from a Pakistani store. I marinated the meat with olive oil and the spice mixture for over 6 hrs, but I didn't get that suya taste after I brought it out of the grill. It just tasted really tangy and spicy. I guess next time, I'll have to use 'roasted' peanuts as opposed to 'non-roasted'.
