Default Concerning of Black skin care

I have used this witchhazel alcohol thing called Skin Toner because I tend to have pimples, not alot, and I have flaky skin and usually my skin is very oily. At first I have used Noxema, stopped using it bcuz I hate the way you gotta do the procedure even though it's almost easy as 1,2,3.(hot water then, cold water). But I'm telling you my problem cuz I need help and I also wanna know how you ladies (esp, no offense to guys, but may post your opinion if you want) take care of your skin.

Lightbulb

WATER AND SOAP works all the time. And also DRINKING loads of water hepls 2. Sometimes these product just add to ur problem as some of them contain alcohol, which is not good 4 most skin types.

Try drinking plenty of water also, that helps 2 clear your pores

drinking water will help but it doesn't show instant diffrence. we need instant gratification to keep at anything.
wash ya face with exfloriating agent(some body wash, scrubs).
i will not recommed fading creame unless u light skinned, in dat way e fit even ya skin tone.

Don't mean to brag, but I was blessed with beautiful skin and a lovely nice complexion, although, i'm starting to get dark circles under my eyes, from late night studying ( college syndrome). I maintain my skin with St. Ives facial scrubs and facial soap. I dunno, maybe you should seek a dermatologist, cuz not all over the counter products work for all. Ask you dermatologist for "Different Gel" that works...

Avon Clearskin cleansing gel, Acon Sensitive skin Astringent lotion(my skin is not sensitive but I like to stay safe), Avon Clearskin pimple dab gel. Never use body soap(especially Irish Spring) or face products that are not for your skin type. Dont touch your face with your hands because of the oils in your fingers. Wash your face morning and night, no more no less. Try not to use makeup very often unless its medicated. It clogs your pores. Use a mask at least once a week. And use exfoliator as often as you can.

actually clearasil works on the face, in this time of winter, though, dont wash the face to hard , because it will flake and feel itchy... I cant use any of those special things cuz it makes my skin worse... i swear by daily clearasil facewash dont use any exfoliants, because they will remove the oils needed to protect you skin in the winter.... makeup...Pine cake is not a good idea to cover them up... so many of us women use it to cover and neglect the care that we really need as a quick way out... some wihtsevere problems need to go to a dermatologist... its best to consult with them for professional advice

Good hair and bad hair, what does all this mean
Is this all just some myths, or something we dream

Please tell us my sistahs, why is Afrikan hair bad
It started from childhood, oh how dreadfully sad
The torture, the heat , the burns, and the jerks
Everythang was tried, to see what would work

Now hair comes in textures, not good bad like grades
Has none?n to do with grades, how we have been played
We want ?good? hair, that?s what Black women say
But Black women have ?good? hair, don?t wish it away

So what my sistahs, does "good" hair really mean
Its hair that is healthy, at its best and its clean
Get ?bad? hair out, of your vocabulary and mind
Cuz its time for a new attitude, that you should define

Black women should define, their ?own? beauty that?s good
And change their ideals, from adults back to their childhood
Caucasian beauty, is not beauty to enshrine
Our lips, hips and skin, are much more defined
Why crave the Caucasian?s standards, that are vastly well known
When our own natural beauty, has vitality and life of its own

Default Thanks for the advice but.....

about drinkin water, you should see how much water i drink! I heard that it's not a good idea to use a deordorant soap, it has to be a different kind of soap. The soap that I have used and it REALLY dried up my skin was Neutragena, damn, i will never use that ish again

word, allergic to weave, never wore them, I also forgot to mention that I use the peel off masque and it works somehow cuz it takes out the dirt but the disadvantage is that it still worsens my flaky skin problem, i dont know if i should switch or still use it

try aveeno, it doesn't dry ur skin but a light cleanser so if ur problem is serious it might not work. It works better for me than those neutrogenia, clean and clear and so on.
