Question Naija Hair Nightmare.......

To all the ladies in this room that can sympathize with me, I have a question....what can I do to keep my hair flowing. My hair is naturally very stubborn. I went to the salon to relax it this past Saturday. Today it look like I'm due for another relaxer. My ends are starting to split agin, my hair is overly thick and will not lay down, and my scalp remains dry. There is virtually nothing I have not tried on this my ye'ye' head. The first two days it was laying down smooth, now even if I keep it in a wrap all day, it will bush back up in a matter of minutes from my taking it down. Any suggestions????

change your hairdresser, and learn to take care of your hair... no such thing as stubborn hair just people don't know how to manage their hair...

Well i use to have this problem before my sister taught me. Wrap your hair every night. Flat iron it once every two weeks(or more if need) roll your hair once or twice a week. Deep condition your hair every two weeks(don't skip a week,it will show). Get you split ends cut everymonth and grease ur scalp every three to five days.

Ever thought about the idea of cutting the whole thing down straight to your scalp? That way you re-grow your natural hair....

try steaming your hair.
also, eat plenty of veg and fruits.
oil yr scalp possibly every night or every other night.
tie your hair with scalf at night too.
finally, change your hair products maybe to Nexxus or similar products.
best of luck.

I used to feel that way about my hair, but not necessary as stubborn. My advise would be to change hair dressers first of all cos not everyone knows what they are doing. I use Apogee(extensive treatment) on my hair every one and a half weeks. It smells really bad but it works wonders. After that I use a bumper to straighten my hair out. I love Kemi oil but there are other products on the market that do just as well. After that I put it in rollers. In the morning I wrap my hair right before I hop in the shower. Hope that helps give it a try

You don't like her words because they were the truth but weren't wrapped in a nice neat package,.....

It sounds like your hair has not been relaxed properly!!........did she leave it in long enough??
Hair can not revert back to it's natural state in two days, that means it wasn't processed correctly in the first place.
Your ends need trimming and the relaxer might just be irritating the scalp.
At the end of the day, RELAXER IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!!.
