Black women and lipstick..

I am against it. Especially red lipstick. I think the contrast looks horrible on black women. If you must a darker shade is a must to not look tacky.

I'm curious about the opinions of our naija ladies or is it only my eye the thing is paining?

What's worse is when a dark skinned lady has on shiny pink lipstick...urrrrgghhhh....revolting.

I think a little touch here and there is in order. My own is the lipstick shouldn't be so much so that any little brush off looks like someone left color graffiti on the wall.

Black lip liner doesn't fly on everyone. If you are a lighter skinned black female, black lipliner would be too sharp compared to ur complexion.

I think dark chocolate or a shade of brown darker than the bottom part of ur lip looks nice and classy.

And yes, most black women don't look too great in bright red, neon pink or whitish silver lipstick. These are colors that women with fuller lips definately want to stay away from.

Lip gloss looks good on almost everyone. Shades of brown are very popular right now. If you ladies have a chance, y'all should try penny copper, expresso or latte lipgloss. I think they make your lips look just faboooo

i feel u on this one...black girls definitely need to stick to earthly colors like taupe cuz the red is not cutting it at all.

As for me I wear lip gloss majority of the time, if not then I wear like a brown or currant lip liner and put lip gloss over it.

I wear pink and red lipsticks/lipgloss (all from MAC) depending on the shade tt can look bad but if you get one that compliments your skin tone its no biggie.---just get it from place that specializes in AA cosmetics
