Camillia looked at the mark for the third time. Certainly, this was a third test. She couldn't believe she passed it.
What was she going to tell her mother? Who would she say was responsible? A one-night stand with a man she didn't know.
All she remembered was he was a dark man, well-built with a british accent and he was a PhD in some science stuff.
That's all she remembered, the blind rush of lust and alcohol blinded her vision.
She was wondering now, why she did it? Why she let his sweet and articulate voice seduce her to her bedroom?
Did he wear a condom? What happened that night? She couldn't remember. It was all a blur.
She looked at the pills in front of her. She used it for her cramps. But she was thinking of using them for something different in mind.
But was it worth it? What was she going to achieve? Why would she? She sat there looking at that bottle. She cried.
She looked through her phonebook, who could she call? Certainly not her room-mates. They were buddies, but she needed someone who was a real friend.
It used to be Jide. He was her ex. She was attracted to his charisma and his mentality. So different from the boys she grew up around.
But she told Jide she couldn't be with him anymore. The more they got together, the more she saw his weaknesses, and she didn't stand them.
It was her fault she wouldn't admit to. Never seeing the right expectations of men, not as cold all day every day. Men like everyone else had their weaknesses and she couldn't have the expectatiopns because she had grown up knowing what a real man acted like.
That's what Douglas always told her. She loved Douglas. Not in the way lovers
