What do you do with thick hard to comb hair

I want to keep my hair natural but its beginning to give me a headache when i comb it. i cant style it a nice fro like i see other styling their hair. I have to keep it braided or under a wig. I need help.

How do you soften your hair without relaxing it?

Some natural folks on here have said its sometimes easier to comb when wet. I cant really advice sha cos im not natural. Have you ever tried the dominican hair salons? Im thinking of going to one this weekend for a blow out, havent permed in 4months and I wanna wait till december before relaxing.

wet then comb...spray bottle is your friend
