Salaam everyone
llah has opened my eyes to so many things. I am hoping that I will meet someone in the USA who has the same aspirations and dreams as me. I am 25 years old. I speak 3 languages fluently (french, spanish, english), enjoy watching foreign films [color of paradise is an EXCELLENT] film. I also like to scan youtube and watch interesting documentaries concering the developing world. Seeing such hard ache at a young age by lack of resources in Africa, I believe that in the future, I would be an advocate for the voiceless. In addition I love to cook- when I am in the mood of course. I graduated from the University and now I am a first year podiatry medical student, alhamduillah. I am not the stereotypical Nigerian-American that you would meet on the streets . I studied abroad in Denmark and traveled to the other Scandinavian countries. I have 2 cats that I adopted. I pray 5 times a day alhamduillah . often think about what my partner would be like. I know that when I meet him that I will know. Truly color/ethnicity is on the outside - its so easy to say that " I see no color, but do we really do it?" .In many cultures including my own, the possibility of marrying a woman outside of the ethnic group could raise eyebrows in a family even to the point of divide. However, what if Allah has destined us to be the perfect match?? Would you turn away due to cultural pressumptions or go with your gut feeling? Who are we really trying to please , Allah or our cultures? ( by the way, this is also directed at me as well). My match would be someone who defies the cultural norms- someone who goes with what is right based on Allah alone. Someone who is aware of cultures around the world, has traveled, watched documentaries.Challenging the status quo is something that I admire in a person and inshallah the person will see that in me. My match would be a person who we can grow spiritually to. We are at different levels in our journey of life - I can attest to that. However, I want someone who can take me for me- - my lack of organization at times, my bursts of energy , my randomness on facts that I find interesting. My desire to have kids and have a tight knit family. If this sounds like yourself pls hit me a line I live in the east coast |
