The truth about love

Remind me later
Of the dangers
That lurk in the crevices of love
Remind me later
To collect the sand and the clay
For the walls of fear

It is the NOW
The newness
The openness
The wonders
That keep me from the daggers
That pierce a heart so willing

The fantasy that makes one so giving
The fallacy of a love worth having
The fiction that alludes to happiness
The happiness that eludes an empty heart
And gives a knowing nod when it all shatters
To reveal the true secret of love

The true secret of love
Is that it must end
Its newness, openness and wonders must recede
The daggers will pierce
And the sand and the clay
Must go up

imagery and assonance =
building walls, piercing with a dagger, revealing
newness, openness, living, giving, willing, fantasy, fallacy, alludes, eludes etc

Me likes the

The daggers will pierce
And the sand and the clay
Must go up

..Daggers - mishaps, may be scratches or fatal (author silent)
The effects though, rather than that of death in the sinking forgotten six feet, the memories of the fear/lesson learnt refuses to go.

... so even though the writer is aware of the dangers of love (secrets?)... he/she would rather stay ignorant of it for now,... get lost in the bliss until such times as it ends...

but then, he/she will be on the obvious path to its recession... does reminding him/her of the imminence make it more bearable..?
