A Haiku for un-requited love

Wanting more I pined.
Though I knew t’was all in vain,
I did not give up.

Loving you I hoped,
Someday you would see my plight.
That has never been.

Speaking words, I wished
My missives would arrive in peace.
But they never did.

You said to leave us
As it was, Just friends, No strings.
I could never leave.

Words said, and lines once
Crossed can never be retrieved.
Can I still be sane?

Your plight I've felt
Sweetness, un-replied feelings of pains
It Ripped my heart like scorches of an iron belt
Causing my eyes to drip like it ceaseless rains

Like you before her altar I prayed
Burnt my censer hoping she will beckon
In vain it was her heart away had strayed
Yet on and on, my love song still played on

As before the broken bridge we stood moping
I see her indifferent, but in anguish I watched in pains
My being for a mended bridge yet hoping
We walked apart, me stained with heart blood stains

Yet, I know she will go and test the waters
I know she will smile amidst some cheers
I know she will feel good times, yet some stutters
But then, I know only my name within she bears

I waited long nights and walked deserts
The sun scorched in winter in the midst of snow
Yet when I had rested and had my desserts
Along she came, cos without me her life had no flow
