Fashioning your Self-Esteem

would you consider yourself a trendsetter amongst your peers?

How many people grew up wearing the lastest fashion and if you did, do you think that it affects your self esteem.

do you think that growing up with access to the triendiest fashion effects a person's self esteem development or the two have nothing to do with one another? please explain

I nevber owned anything fashionable growing up .....My esteem is in no way tied in to what I own or wear .

Even now ..I'm not a fashion slave , But I always look good . I never wore a biker jacket .....I was sensible enuf to realise that they wouldnt look right wit my wide hips .

For some peeps it has a lot 2 do wit their esteem ..The latest trainers etc ... for others ..nada , zip . Get in where u fit in I guess

Im not fashionable or trend-setting, never have been, I just wear what I think is cute.

Fashion should only be used to Express yourself, not Define yourself.

I second that notion sistah. there are many fashion slaves out there abusing a privilege that many of us are not privy to . I on the other hand use it to express myself like you said. a little suntin different for every mood.

You Know She/He is A Fashion Slave because..

1. when her luggage get lost at the airport and she freaks out and hides under her hotel bed.
