But even men, among themselve, express some awareness of this man=dog. Some men call each other dogs - I hear it all the time "what up dog" etc. and many act like dogs...an old Jamaican woman uttered these words recently.
I was taken a back-frail old women with quite alot of insight ..presumely, while her comment is hyperbole, it got me thinking...Her entire comment: Iin Canada when I see dog I call him man and when I see man I call him dog. People think I am crazy, but I know even a dog shows love/loyalty to someone who shows them goodness...see the problem with ouman is we love man more than ourselves...but man neva tink bout ouman first... |

My dogs.
Road-dog. They are my friends, friends who have tested everything with me...every bite with me, they are my trusted companions...loyal to death...honest to a tee...my dogs. That's the difference between most female and male friendships...males tend to be more loyal and honest hence the term dog. This has nothing to do with the term as a derogatory for the cheats and all...there are 2 separate things. |

If u feel all men are dogs or wuteva...fine, u are entitled to ur opinion.
Just like i tell the broads who say "niggas aint shit""niggas aint shit"...."Maybe your aint shit personality attracts these aint shit niggas" Not all of us are alike, some are faithful, some are not, pretty much like women. If u think all men are dogs, maybe ur just unlucky, or there something aint shit about u that u need to fix. |

lol @ males being more honest and loyal. Dudes betray each other all the time.. and then they forgive, talking bout "boys over hoes" and all that nonsense.
Seen, the last part of the woman's comment holds a lot of truth. In general, women invest more in relationships and tend to put their partners ahead of a lot of things, including their own emotional well-being, while the partner does not necessarily return the favour. I've seen it happen too many times. Unless a guy is really into the woman, that's the way the story usually goes. |

So you being a male- how did you come to know how female to female friendship is like to make that bold statement that it falls below male to male bonding? How can you say female friendship is unlike male friendship if you have never been on the otherside? or are you saying because male-male bonding is a certain way, then it must negate female-female from being the same. I admire male bonding for some of its virtues but not because it is better or less than female-female friendship. The same way I can admire parent-child bonding not because it is less or better than husband-wife bonding. |

ok so this thing of man=dog not true but if you do believe it is true does that also mean woman=bitch ???
yeah i personally don't like the term but i have heard females calling themselves as such would you then say it is equivalent or not? there is always an exception to the rule, not all but most might be, but still is not enough to condemn an entire sex. all in all you've just been hanging round the wrong people thats all change your scene and there will be a difference too. |
