Do Nigerians believe in true love/soul mates?

Do Nigerians believe in the same kind of love that Americans do? Like finding your soul mate and falling in love with each other and spending the rest of your lives together not because you have to but because you want to.

I feel like so much of marriage depends on what you can or cannot do. Like if a women can't cook no man will want to marry her. Or if a guy doesn't make as much money no girl will want to marry him.

If they do why is it taboo to marry someone who isn't Nigerian? People who have culture tend to marry within their culture even when they come to America. why don't they fall in love with people from other races as much? Do their love options have boundaries? Just a thought.
