Love Yourself


(1 John 2:1) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:


Learn to forgive yourselves. Oftentimes, we may find it easy to forgive others of their trespasses but beat ourselves over the head for days because of our shortcomings.

It is as important to forgive yourself as much as it is to forgive others. The Word of God declares you free of all condemnation. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Stop dwelling on your past mistakes and shortcomings.

When we miss the mark i.e. when we sin, God expects us to ask for and receive His forgiveness. God does not haunt your with your past mistakes. It is the devil who keeps attempting to revive what has already been forgotten by God. Once you ask for forgiveness, God does not remember your sins and iniquities any longer.

You need to love yourself enough to let go of the past. Just as God requires you to forgive those who wrong you, He demands that you forgive yourself as well. You can not reach forth to those things that lie ahead if you keep reaching back into the past.

Your future is bright and promising. Let go of your past so that you can step into it.

DAILY SCRIPTURE READING: I John 2:1-29




MY DAILY CONFESSION

I am born of God and i have His nature of love. The love of God has been shed abroad in my heart. I release the force of God's love from my inside on consistent basis. I do not walk in strife, malice or unforgiveness. I walk freely in the love of God because it is my nature.

I subject my flesh to walk in love. I do not walk according to the dictates of the flesh but I walk as led by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit enables me to walk in love at all times. God is with me, God is in me and God is for me so I cannot fail.

I please God and obey His commandments. I love God and I love my neighbors as myself. I therefore walk under open heavens. God opens the windows of heaven over my life because I co-operate with Him by walking in love. I enjoy the benefits of the new covenant established on better promises. I walk in healing, health, prosperity, preservation and wholeness. I am satisfied with long life and prosperity.

I cannot fail in life because love never fails. Whatsoever I lay my hands upon prospers. I prosper in my health, family, relationships and my career. I am born to win and designed for success.

I stand out in my location. I am distinguished because I walk in the love of God. I represent God adequately in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. I shine as light. I am set upon a hill and I cannot be hidden. I am an effective witness of the kingdom of God because I walk in love.

I'm confused, so what this is saying is that for God to forget our "sins" we have to ask for forgiveness?

forgiveness is always available for us, but again God will not force us to do anything. if we choose to live in sin, well, he'll allow it.

If God loves unconditionally, doesn't that mean that we are already forgiven? In the parable of the prodigal son, wasn't the son already forgiven by the father even before he came home?
