God's Vigorish

I'm the reason why the Book is Black.
I took it back from the Red,
like Jesus back from the Dead
with words in red
that are read by hordes that dread
to lose;
Who spread abuse from age to age
whose sages plague our pages with lies
like the plague of flies
in Egypt, where they say
Africans kept jews enslaved.
Beneath the waves
our history
is a Red Sea
drippin
with scripts,
but I'm equipped
to rip
and shred em.
I bust the banks that bet em.
Because I am God's Vigorish,
Here to paint the whole world Niggerish.
The hand that pulls His trigger is me:
The man that is bigger than what you see
on MTV.
Dem Dee-vee-ous networks
won't let a man get work
unless it helps them win;
unless it gets them in
the black man's head
and makes him spend his bread
on kicks and whips
on tricks and sips
of drink he can't afford.
But while they hoard their winnings
and the fruit of their sinnings,
I'm spinning their fate,
and my strength is their weight
which I've siphoned and ate
from the plate
they brought to the trough.
I shake
off the slough
of the eternal snake
and crush its head with its tail
and as it wails
and power fails
and slaves are free and inmates bailed,
I make sure all God's debts are paid
with interest and my life down-laid.
