Another Comforter


When Jesus mentioned the word 'comforter' to His disciples in the above scripture they actually heard more than the word 'comforter' based on what English language expresses. Bear in mind that Jesus was speaking to them in Hebrew language.

This word means the following: strengthener, standby, counselor, advocate, intercessor and helper. The ministry of Jesus as their comforter covers every one of these words. That was why it was so difficult for them to remain hopeful after He told He was leaving.

Jesus was everything they would ever need but now He is saying the Holy Spirit will be everything we will ever need. Jesus promised to make sure the Father sends the Holy Spirit in His place. The Holy Spirit is sent to be our friend and helper. He desires to continue the ministry of Jesus in our lives so that we will not miss the presence of Jesus.

Learn to celebrate the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life. He will always be there for you. You do not have to be lonely again. You have a helper that is as reliable and effective as Jesus. Allow Him and He will surely make your life comfortable.

MY DAILY CONFESSION
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. I keep God's temple holy and God is always pleased with me.

The Spirit of Him that raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in me. I am quickened from within. My body and soul are full of God's life as a result of the working of the Spirit on my inside.

Greater is He that lives within me than the one that lives in the world. I can do all things through the Spirit of God that strengthens me.

I have an anointing from the Holy One and I know all things. The Spirit of God that lives on my inside teaches me all things about life.

I have been adopted as a Son into the kingdom and I am always led by the Spirit of God. His divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness.

I am never confused in life because the Spirit of God leads and guides me. God has not given the spirit of fear but that of love, sound mind, and power
