It is for your good

When Jesus announced to His disciples that he would be leaving them soon they were depressed and discouraged. None of them could see how the death of Jesus would be to their advantage. They were in despair. The last thing they wanted to hear was that Jesus was not always going to be around. They were terrified that the one that made the difference in their lives was leaving.

However, Jesus had a plan to make sure the disciples would never miss Him. He was going to ask the father to release the Holy Spirit into the earth. He promised that each of them was going to receive the presence of the Spirit that was responsible for His extraordinary life. This means the Spirit that enabled Jesus to glorify God on earth will literally live in them.

The manifestation of that prayer happened on the day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit filled all of the disciples in the upper room. Now that you and I have the presence of the Holy Spirit, we can expect things to be better. We are living in better days. The comforter is here. You are in a position to do all the works of Jesus on earth because you are possessed with His Spirit.


DAILY SCRIPTURE READING: John 16:1-33.

MY DAILY CONFESSION
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. I keep God's temple holy and God is always pleased with me.

The Spirit of Him that raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in me. I am quickened from within. My body and soul are full of God's life as a result of the working of the Spirit on my inside.

Greater is He that lives within me than the one that lives in the world. I can do all things through the Spirit of God that strengthens me.

I have an anointing from the Holy One and I know all things. The Spirit of God that lives on my inside teaches me all things about life.

I have been adopted as a Son into the kingdom and I am always led by the Spirit of God. His divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness.

I am never confused in life because the Spirit of God leads and guides me. God has not given the spirit of fear but that of love, sound mind, and power.
