Jesus, Our High Priest

(Hebrews 4:14 KJV) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, which is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; let us hold fast our profession.

When Jesus was sacrificed on the cross of Calvary His blood was shed for the total cleansing of man. He sacrificed His life for the blotting away of your sinful nature. Sinful nature and its effects were totally abolished in His blood.

Jesus condemned sin in the flesh according to Romans 8 and provided a total cleansing for mankind. He resurrected from the dead and went ahead to establish a new covenant for us by offering His own blood in the presence of His Father.

Jesus actually became our High Priest and offered His blood to give us access before His Father. His blood did everything that needed to be done to pay for the penalty of the sin of Adam in the Garden of Eden.

It became unnecessary to appoint any human priest to represent us before God after the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Jesus has become our eternal high priest. Child of God, be reminded that Jesus forever represents you before God. He is now your advocate and intercessor.

DAILY SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrews 9:1-28.

MY DAILY CONFESSION

Jesus has paid the price for my total freedom in life. I have been bought with a price. Therefore, I glorify God in my body and spirit, which are God's. For sin, I have received righteousness. For sickness, I have health. And for poverty, I have abundance.

Jesus knew no sin but He became sin that I might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus Himself bore my griefs, sicknesses, weaknesses and distress, and carried my sorrows and pains; He was wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities, the chastening for my peace and well-being fell upon Him and with His stripes I am healed.

I know the grace of my Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was very rich, yet, He became very poor in order that I can be made rich through His poverty. I shall not frustrate the grace of God because I am walking in the fullness of my redemptive rights.

I stand fast in the liberty I have received as a child of God. I will not be entangled any longer in the yoke of slavery. I am totally free from every oppression of the evil one.

I boldly declare according to Galatians 3:13 that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. I am completely free from the curse of sin, sickness and poverty.
