It wasn't a matter of love.. He just didn't want to allow himself to get too close for comfort. It happened anyway, but there were always problems. I've never been in love.

And it's easy to be afraid of something that makes you very happy. You only have to consider how devastated you would be by its loss.

I agree. Don't make your happiness dependent on that person 'cos breakups are real, so are divorces and deaths.

The only 'person' you can really depend on that much is God (or yourself if you want to look at it that way).
