Default bros and sis...lets have a quick tafsir

okay read verse 286 surat al baqra...(the last haya)....
mehn dunno about you mehn but i've learnt to remember that haya when i feel like im going through something that i cant handle...then i am like dude....Allah does not task you with something that you cant handle...and if it seems so huge to you that means God believes you are strong enough to handle it....the last part of the haya is also very beneficial as well becuase it reminds you to pray when it does feel like the load is to heavy.....what do yall think...

p.s i think we should this on occasion...designate/organize some kind of weekly tafsir...and discuss diffrent hayas or topics so me we all benefit fromit....if i have more than 3 peepz who are down i can organize something and post it in the main forum to direct people here....

the verse actually is common in AL - MASURRAT, which
is a compilation of the proh.'s (SAW) recommended AZKAR.

it is enjoined by scholars to recite it in our NAWAFIL and i think the tafsir of the verse was that it was released when the SHABAHS were praying to their lord to ease their affairs.

as regards the weekly tafsir ..am in ..at least another avenue for me to LEARN more .

you know something..you learn something new everyday...for the longest time i have been misusing the actual term tafsir....i was always under the impression that it just means general opinions and discussions of sura/haya etc...but there is actual protocol to it...

u re right..while i was growing up attending MADRASAT...our thoughts was that TAFSIR is only done during ramadhan..at least thats when our ustaz had more time to further express the teahings of the verses ..unlike reciting the arabic verses.

its usually a nice atmosphere though...imagine listening to SHEIK ADAM AL ILORY (BLESSED MEMORY) it sheds more light to the history of ISLAM and u understand events and issues surrounding the revelation of each haya of the glorious quran.
