Rejoice In Your
Uniqueness

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well
(Psalm 139:14).


According to the Lord Jesus, every single strand of hair on your head has a code number known to the Father (Matthew 10:30). No other person’s hair has the same code as yours. Also, nobody else in the world has your exact fingerprints. There’s only one “you” on the planet. No wonder the Psalmist described you as God’s marvellous workmanship (Psalm 139:14 TLB).

When you know how unique and peculiar you are, you’ll take pride in your uniqueness and not wish you were like someone else, for God has only one “you!” There’s a way you do things that nobody else in the world can. Someone else may do it in a similar way, but your
uniqueness will still shine through. There are gifts and abilities God has deposited in you that’ll also make you do things in a unique way.

Don’t try to outdo others, only outdo your past! Strive to do better than what you did yesterday. Don’t try to be like your friend or your neighbour; take pride in who you are. God raised you for a reason, and you’re the best person to do what He’s raised you for. When you have this kind of attitude, you’ll love and appreciate the people in your life, for each one adds a unique colour and perspective to life.

Never try to be someone else; you’re peculiar, so rejoice in your uniqueness.

Dear Father, thank you for crafting me in such a wonderful and unique way. I recognize that I’m your excellent handiwork, made for your glory and sanctified for your use. I rejoice in my uniqueness as I live to fulfill the purpose for which you created me. I’ll accomplish with excellence every task you’ve ordained for me to accomplish in this life.
