Default Access/Excel HELP

Say I have a cell, and I want to run a query and find totals and such but my some of the cells are duplicate. Is there a formula to exclude duplicate records?

Does anyone know? HELP!!!!

Filter the dupes of your record; then do your sum.

(select the column- Data - Filter - Autofilter. Select records from drop-down box.)

depends on if you're using access or excel...

If you're trying to get rid of duplicates its pretty easy in access to use a sql statement or if you're using the GUI.

If you're using the GUI just change the properties to Unique values (Yes).
If you're using a SQL statement then you can just add a "DISTINCT" right after your SELECT statement.

I dunno if that helps, but holla if you have access/sql/vba/vb questions
