How many of you actually have parents or you yourself beleive that you have to marry someone thats from the same tribe as you..I just saw a response in Mz Nita's thread where the dude said he couldnt marry the chic cuz she was not Yoruba.

Nothing against my parents but i don't think they would take too kindly to me marrying an Igbo person.
Too many bad experiences there for them. Personally..i don't have a problem.

when my mom found out about my igbo guyfriend she said " tolu is it igbo person u are befriending now"..i go mommy he is my friend...and yes he is igbo....she was like "you know its good to date ur kind", and i am like ok...then she says welll " its whoever God gives you".....every guyfriend is my boyfriend

my parents have said, and still continue to say, they want me to marry an Esan man..
they know me well enough to know that i do what i want anyway... i say, they should be happy if i decide to marry sef... like dude being from my own tribe is some kind of prerequisite for happines.. psssh
