It's all about the conditioning, the laws of Islam were written in the 7th century, and with a 7th century mindset. Same as the laws of Judaism, and the laws of Christianity. Hell, the laws of all religions were written with a mindset that the first set of converts would have found easy to swallow, and most of those early converts were largely illiterate.

The challenge now is 'updating' those laws to fit in with the modern mindset. But in any event, in every religion we would still find people who would want to adhere to things as they were first written, hence we have people like the Amish...

US Senate deciding to use F16s to bomb and kill 600,000 Iraqis, based on modern evidence of WMDs, and then debating about whether to withdraw or not?

What is the info u want to use to upgrade them, please, and where in this modern world is this modern way of thinking and behaving practiced?
