Tucson police are asking the public for help in finding a man suspected in three armed robberies of businesses on the southeast side.
The man, who was captured on surveillance cameras, pointed a gun at all his victims, said Sgt. Matt Ronstadt, a Tucson Police Department spokesman. The robber is wanted in connection with: • The Sunday 7:45 p.m. robbery of a Giant Express Conoco Gasoline & Convenience Store on the southeast corner of East Broadway and South Houghton Road. • The Monday 6:15 p.m. robbery of Walgreens on the northeast corner of East Broadway and South Houghton Road. • The Tuesday 7:50 p.m. robbery of the Quik Mart on the northwest corner of East 22nd Street and South Houghton Road. The robber is described as being about 18 to 22 years old and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall. He weighs about 140 to 170 pounds and has red hair, freckles or pockmarked skin, Ronstadt said. The getaway vehicle is described as brown or champagne-colored, late-1990s model Kia four-door sedan. There possibly were four more people inside the car during one of the robberies, said Ronstadt.
