Who believes in the Bible literally?

the Earth is only ~ 6,000 years old.
There was a flood and Noah did build an Ark.
Jonah slept in the belly of a whale.
Human beings really did live up to 800 years old.

how many ppl think all these things happened

yes i do , factoring in how we've evolved as humans and how perceptions have changed . I believe the history of those times were related just as they occurred

Creation to Abraham was about 2000 years(consider the ages of the people within that span. Abraham to Jesus, about 2000 years. Go thru books and calculate you will find this is about accurate. Jesus to us , just over 2000 years. That's 6000.

u're assuming i mean Darwin's evolution. I mean our perspectives , concepts of time , way of life, technology etc how we've evolved as human beings. How u will be a different/more mature person tomorrow than you are today and ur perception may or may not be different.

I guess there was a consensus amongst the logical and moderately religious that the bible is a collection of true stories, misintepreted quotes and myths juxtaposed in this 32(?) Book Collection.

how doesn't it ? it's all dependent on ur perception at a particular time. Now at the time the Bible was being written I believe everything happened as it has been related in the Bible, will some of those things happen today ? maybe or maybe not.

I can keep a journal today and in a 100 yrs there might not be ppl who can relate to my journal in any way , it doesn't mean I wasn't feeling what I felt or didn't experience what's in my journal . They just aren't living in the same times as I am.
