Okay this question is for the ladies with permed hair.
I have a problem with tangling..................my hair tangles like crazy. And unfortunately, the longer my hair gets, the worse the problem is. My hair is close to my bra-line. And it's so fustrating b/c it seems the bottom just gets all knoted up. Sometines I am tempted to cut it. Anyway, does anyone have any good products for detangling. I'd really appreciate it. |

When it's try, I use infusium 23 moisturolgie hair spray. I just spritz at the ends and comb out.

i don't have a perm, but you need janol leave in conditioner. you use it after washing out the conditioner & it makes it really easy to comb through your hair. make sure you use a rake to comb your hair & start at the ends then move up to the scalp

Oooh, this is some good stuff. I keep forgetting the name tho 'cos it isn't my usual shampoo. I kept trying to describe it to my friend. I'm like it's a white bottle, some natural thingy.
So I sucked. Now I have this thread for reference..

Do you comb your hair regularly?? Do you use a conditioner after shampooing? I use Paul mitchell shampoo and conditioner and it is the shiznit. It prevents breakage and softens my hair so I can comb it. When I deep condition, I use organic hair conditioner, I think its a carrot conditioner. It is also good for detangling hair.

I had the exact same problem. My hair is also quite long and it grows fast too, but each time I get a perm it would get tangled up and the amount of hair I lost while trying to untangle it almost made me cry!! No conditioner or detangler or whatever will help if you don't comb the hair while u're at it. It seems quite obvious, but I used to wait till I was done with all the shampooing and conditioning before I combed it. I've now tried combing the hair each time I rinse the shampoo/conditioner out and the difference is clear. At the end the comb was just passing through and I didn't lose much hair. Now I'm actually looking forward to the next perm.

use a leave in conditioner, my mama used to comb my hair from the ends and work her way down to the roots that way i lost less hair.
