i have a pair of flat red pumps that i feel i should not wear to client sites as its 'unserious' and too loud.

i used to work with a lady who wore red shoes everyday. she had lots of different flats in different tones of red. but her wardrobe was always in shades of gray & black. but it was her signature style & she always looked so well put together

It depends on how loud the red is if its dull it should be okay but loud red no. What about a red suit? On what occassion can you wear a red suit?

i agree, unless you have an 'artsy' job you should stick to neutrals for work shoes
