Sewing Resources and tips

Since we have a lot of people interested in sewing, I'll make this thread a sticky so we can use it to ask questions, provide answers and to provide informational links.

I'll post some links and info that I have already provided in other threads in this thread. You can do the same, that way we have one thread we can always refer to.

Sewing Tip:

I use commercial patterns to sew (Butterick, McCalls, Vogue etc) and after cutting them out, they are usually very wrinkly and bunched up.

To flatten them out, I iron the cutout pieces of the patterns on very low heat. This way they lay flat when I lay it on my fabric to cutout.

Makes life easier.

I really like this dress that she has on, and I think I can wear it well. So, pretty much this is the next dress I am gonna make, just waiting till I get the perfect Ankara fabric. So far, I have only been sewing Ankara. I made one skirt that looks very businessy, haven't taken any pictures of that yet because I have not worn it out.
