I'm starting this thread just so we wont forget. Because its summer I want to try something simple and light like a dress or tunic or skirt.
Nimotalai, Sapphire, Big M, Oya o. UPDATE So I've included Poll Choices. After the selections have been made. We have to agree on when to complete the project and when to have a show and tell. Thanks Ladies.

FYI FashionFabrics is having an annivesary sale....sometimes it's hard to find good fabric at JoAnn or Hancock if that's your only option. I've bought from them before and they're good, fast delivery and secure.
Silk 7.95/yd Silk georgette 7.95/yd Rayon and linen blend 4.95/yd cotton and lycra prints 4.95/yd cotton sateen 5.25/yd Another good thing about the site is they give you a practical description of the what you can use each kind of fabric to make, so you can kind of get an idea of the feel of the fabric and how it would turn out. And also the back of your pattern envelope gives you recommended fabric, so you just match the two up and all you have to decide is what design of fabric you want.

Hi Everyone. I love all the dresses posted. Some are more difficult than others. Should we start off with an easy one since. The strapless one Big Momma posted and the one Faseda posted look straightforward.
I also like this one Vogue 8185: ![]()

..something that won't kick a beginner's ass - like any of the strapless dresses. Do u order the patterns online or would i have to go find them in the store?
