Okay I'm a bigger girl but i think it looks better when its on. I got cheap material like $1.95 per yard and i had some scrap white material lying around and i used it to make the waistband. The dress calls for a zip but i didn't put one in. Its pretty low in the cleavage area and a little bigger than i expected. i'm going to use the pattern for a native blouse and skirt project and next time make it a straight skirt instead of a circle skirt.

Like you said, it's a little big. Would be much nicer if it was really tight,especcially in the middle. You really tried, i love the neckline

yeah the material was on sale for $1.95 like scrap material and it was supposed to have a zipper and I was feeling to lazy that why its not tight.

but yeah i'm getting used to the feel of sewing. Maybe we can do sew alongs now.

Faseda, it definitely looks better on you than on the hanger. I love the neckline on you, it looks very pretty. I think the white waist band torso section is too short though. It makes your torso look really short.

And the hem is sooo neat! Very good job!

Definitely keep the neckline, make it more fitted in the waist, and a more fitted skirt.

Which pattern did you use.....I'm in love with the neckline.

YAAAY Just the woman i wanted to see. You know I'm trying to be like you right. I used New Look Pattern 3877.

I'm actually high waisted. That's the narrowest point on my torso. If i moved it down my belly bulge would make the dress uglier. I agree now that i probably should have used a narrower skirt. But since it was just practice when i sew this on the material that i want, I will use a narrower skirt.

We should do a sew along !!!!!

I'd love to do a sew along. Anything easy...cuz i'm still not that good!

What do you want to practice making.....skirts are pretty easy, and since it's spring/summer, i'd love to do a skirt!

Oh, I think it was Sapphire that posted this link sometime ago (not sure who it was), but I go to this site everyday. It helps with pattern reviews and gives tips on certain patterns. When I see a pattern I like, I check it out on this site to see what it looks like on real people who've sewed it. If it looks decent I buy it.
