Is polygamy really unchristian?

So when did polygamy stop being ok? The Old Testament was very silent on condemning it.

The interesting thing is that in continuation of what Boss says..Paul who is seen to have condemned it was a sexist, who had no wife, and he actually didnt condemn polygamy anymore than he condemned monogamy.
His words were that women lead us to sin and evil, so better marry none...or if at all just a few=1...if u know u cant stay single.

So he condemned women, and Gods blessing of unions in actuality and not polygamy. Read paul again. Just like saying- Better stay off burgers and cholesterol...but if u have nothing else to eat, then just have 1 burger. Thats how he seemingly condemned marriage. And society and governments did the rest.

I'm not so knowledgable on the teachings of Paul; but a little more research into it would show if ur argument is valid at all.

An easy way to understand and predict what Paul would do or teach...is to say-'what would Jesus NOT do or NOT teach..any such thing is sure to be Pauls words'. That should help you understand paul beter

But the verses say "joined to his wife, and the two and the two", not the many. It also gives only one type of scenario: the man leaves his parents' home and becomes one with his wife.

Wow...you really detest paul. This Paul you detest so much was matyrd for his beliefs. I disagree with some of his writings just as I would disagree with any pastor for some of thier teachings...but I seriously doubt that Paul is as manipulative and crazed as you make him appear. Just my two cents sha.
