This is long!

Let's start by recognizing some truth.
There is only One.
There are many mystisms to the one. Though the many are all one.
There was Budha...Budhism one of the earliest faiths of man.
Why do I call Budha? Well The faith of God is One= Simply put= 'Submission to the One'
That's the name of the faith of man forever. Mohammed(PBUH) of Islam was the only guy who named the faith what it is and the name remained. Islam simply translates= Submission to the One. Jesus/Yashua said so too. He said- 'Whoever submits his will to the Father'. So he was preaching 'Submission'. He said- 'Not who calls me master or does me, but whoever does the Father'. He said- 'Love Him and obey His commands'. In essence his teaching was 'Submission', as a slave to his respected Master he understands, and loves and loves even when he doesnt understand, then he will understand, because he trusts'. {Ephesians 1:17.,Mathew 7:21, Eclestiastes etc..etc}

Mystism is the deepest rank of submission. If u submit totally then u rise...then u fly. Budha I believe submitted, it's easiest to learn of Him by hidding away in the wilderness, away from mundanities and all distractions. Budha did, and returned with knowledge of the 'One'. He found that the One was all and all was actually the One, cuz there was none but the All which is the One.

Budha communicated the all in one, one in all...but people saw him as god! and people understood his faith as worship of all little elements...missing the One of which is the All. The Alpha and Omega, and all in between because every middle is an alpha of a secind half or an Omega/end of a first/earlier part. God is all, so all else..there's nothing else! The faith was wrongly named after him, who they saw as God being so wise. Hence- 'Budha-ism' In Budhism, emphasis was placed on the self only, and emphasis too on the many in the One, rather than the One thats breath is the many. Hence they worship all objects.

Christianity too was named after Christ, whom men saw as God. Men tend to easily make divine things they see, people, objects and struggle to use the hearts eye in faith.. Hence 'Christ-ianity', instead of the faith of Submission to the One', he preached. And they failed to understand that He was God...but we too are God. (careful around that). They took it literally and saw him saying he was God, which he didnt....not anymore than we all in Gods image/shadow are God. Cuz there's only One, and theres none, none even being part of the One.

Hindusim named after hindi language. Judaism after the Valley of Judah where they originated. etc.


So what do Sufis do.

Sufis seek the One. Sufis perfect theirself to get closer to the understanding, the truth and the one. Many Sufis actually say they follow Jesus' footsteps more in this, than the last messenger, Mohammed. Why? Because as I showed you, Moslems are supposed to cherish and emulate all Apostles, apostles being as a Family with Jesus and Mohammed said to be the Closest 2 brothers. Also Mohammed gave examples of rulership, laws, how to live socially, how to battle enemies and oppressors, how to live a family life, as well as ascetism. While Jesus is known as described even in the Quran, sort of as the gentlest/simplest soul to tread the earth. He is the most Ascetic man ever, who only did one thing mostly while he was here, which was retreat and simplicity in sight, sound, heart and action. He didnt play other roles other messengers, eg- Moses like Mohammed, played...at least not yet.

So his ascetism, plus Mohammeds additional guidance(Mohammed a sufi at night and a world organizer in the day) is copied by Sufis.
The Sufi teacher tells the student to go into the market and ask to be slapped. he wants to be slapped harder and harder. Like he has a plackard on his chest saying- 'hit me'. This rigorous excersise to soften ur pride and dissolve your feelings of being someone.

Jesus only had two things, a comb and a water bottle, then he saw a man using his hands to comb his hair, and realised he didnt need his comb. and he saw a man using his hands to drink water and gave away in charity his comb and water bottle. Think- If he told people to sell all they had and follow him, wont they point that 'U have a comb' Sir, why u telling us to sell all we have'. Jesus, who could by Gods leave raise the dead, had nothing. If we have nothing we can have all. The lillies have nothing, save nothing, he said, the birds etc, why do we, even give away ur last garment and someone will give u one(cuz we should be covered atleast).

Jesus' disciples asked Jesus how he could walk on water and they couldnt. He showed them money and asked-'what is this' They said 'money', he asked-'what is it to u', they replied-'it is good', he said, I see no diference between this and mud, that is why I can walk on water and you cant'.

The Sufi teaches himself reduction. Let's introduce one of the greatest Sufis of the 12th century, his poems on love of God/the One, are one of the best selling right now in USA, for their application, love of God=love of self=love of all. (Listen to Deepak chopras cds on Rumi) So he was Great gnostic sufi Saint, Mevllana Jallaludin Rumi..or just Rumi.

Rumi said-
Spirit, find your way, in seeking lowness like a stream.
Reason, tread the path of selflessness into eternity.
Remember God so much that you are forgotten.


yes, we should seek lowness like a stream that struggles to go lower and lower...and then only can we and shall we elevate.

Be Lost in the Call
Lord, said David, since you do not need us,
why did you create these two worlds?

Reality replied: O prisoner of time,
I was a secret treasure of kindness and generosity,
and I wished this treasure to be known,
so I created a mirror: its shining face, the heart;
its darkened back, the world;
The back would please you if you've never seen the face.

Has anyone ever produced a mirror out of mud and straw?
Yet clean away the mud and straw,
and a mirror might be revealed.

Until the juice ferments a while in the cask,
it isn't wine. If you wish your heart to be bright,
you must do a little work.

My King addressed the soul of my flesh:
You return just as you left.
Where are the traces of my gifts?

We know that alchemy transforms copper into gold.
This Sun doesn't want a crown or robe from God's grace.
He is a hat to a hundred bald men,
a covering for ten who were naked.

Jesus sat humbly on the back of an ass, my child!
How could a zephyr ride an ass?
Spirit, find your way, in seeking lowness like a stream.
Reason, tread the path of selflessness into eternity.

Remember God so much that you are forgotten.
Let the caller and the called disappear;
be lost in the Call.

Another Sufi Saint, whose works are famous for teaching the One in all. Him seeing Gods face in every item, so He sees God in Cows, but not as the hindu sees the Cow as God. said-

"My heart has become capable of every form; it is a pasture for gazelles and a convent for Christian monks, and a temple for idols and the pilgrim's Ka'ba, and the tablets of the Torah and the book of the Koran. I follow the religion of Love: whatever way Love's camels take, that is my religion and my faith."

The Sufi says: That for the Idolator there is no religion in Idolatry, but the Beiliever finds idolatory in religion

A voice answered, “Who is there?”
He answered, “It is I.”
The voice said, “There is no room for Me and Thee.”
The door was shut.
After a year of solitude and deprivation he returned and knocked.
A voice from within asked, “Who is there?”
The man said, “It is thee.”
The door was opened for him.

The Sufi has gone so low, and found himself...with such love, fear and appreciation and prayer to God, that God has by His grace elevated him...he still remains low in self, though as he is elevated he gains power and command as Jesus promised, being able to pick serpents and cast out demons, he can not only walk on water but can fly, having command of and interraction with jinns, he is spiritual, I'v met one....and is given light upon light of Gods true light, volumes and volumes of knowledge and power that can give wealth, which he doesnt use cuz he chersishes only the love of God.

Gospel of Thomas:

But it's a rigourous excersise to perfect the spirit, which follows first murdering the pride and the desires of the carnal self. Gaining total control of the ego and disconnecting from every form of love or dependance on this world, which is owned by the devil. It's not onli a mind excersise, we must detach from all earthly attractions,..when we release the rope that fastens us to earth, then our hearts will open, and we will be able to climb the rope to heaven. It's one or the other....but the perfected spirt lives in a perfected body(it may not look so to the untrained eye)

stumbled upon a sufist book the other day. Very wisdom filled stuff. Just wonderful. Also read an extensive amount of the gospel of mary magdalene, the sofia tradition. The insights that were coming my way was so tremendous. Now I am hooked on mysticism.

Thanks for the advice. I'm also coming to realize it's pretty lonely, how many pple will discuss God alone with you...talk of, all these higher wisdom stuff?

There are more folks like us out there than you think my sister, and if you can't find them, you know where to find at least one
