1. Get rid of the perm (press or blow dry every once in a while, braids, natural)
2. Wash your hair once a week
3. Use a conditioning detangler to comb out wet hair (I recommend Janol--it's the best so far)
4. If you have braids, keep them no longer than 1-2 months and use toner or astringent and a Q tip to go between the parts (I recommend 10-0-6 from Walmart)
5. Trim your ends religiously, every 6 weeks at least
