I wonder, how can you be fully emotionally invested in a relationship, if you're busy beating guys to the punch and protecting ur feelings....

maybe this is the mistake u're making .....u're going into a relationship thinking its a competition....who can beat who or whatever...a relationship is a gamble...you win some, you loose some.....Don't be so overprotective of your feelings....hurt is important to fully appreciate pleasure...I go into a relationship with a girl consciously oblivious....but not naiive... each girl is diff ...which means I don't look for faults or start plotting the female downfall...Actually, I don't think any guy does..... We just breeze through and take it for what it is...

Well, women are so much more emotional then men, therefore we must stay guarded just becaus of what u said above..."We just breeze through and take it for what it is.." Women don't....we think and analyze the situation we wanna know what it is especially if sex is involved.
Ur right hurt is nessecery but how much hurt and how many times????

btw when i said beating them to the punch i was thinking on the lines of making them fall in love (numb) before we do...but they always win

Aiight....for starters...you can't make someone fall in love...it has to grow...If women fall too easily or too quickly, that's cause they have deep affection for the guy...its just as frequent vice versa.... If it doesn't grow....then you need to cut your losses and move on....

2. taking it for what it is, does not mean that we take it lightly, we just take it for what it is...women want to place a meaning on every thing....that's how yall get your feelings hurt...

.3. men feel just as vulnerable when it comes to emotions and we feel it just as strongly....however we communicate differently...so it's a different way of getting it across.
