Places to shop in New York

Hi Guys,
Does anybodyhave suggestions on cheap places to shop ( places, stores, etc) in the New York area. I am talking about around the area of Manhattan. I am going to be staying around 55th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues.

bwahah Okpabio is stwpid. just go down to 34th & 7th- macys, daffys, H &m, or go to 59th st. & Lex - bloomingjails, express, aldo bananna republic etc are down there. or you can go to China town. take tha A or C down to canal street and walk around. or even Prince street has good stuff.
