if i was a poet..

If I was a poet I’d write a poem called ‘****’
It’ll have complicated rhyme patterns that portray all that matters about you
Every word carefully picked to form sentences so deep
I’d rhyme about your eyes, your nose and your lips
Those hips that send chills down my spine
Rhymes about times I long for your next visit
Even before the present one is over

The poem will begin with us as friends
And end with us as lovers
Laying under the covers on a Sunday evening
Staring out the window, watching the moon come out
Seemingly time stops for us, and nothing else matters

I’d write in different languages to depict different sides of you
Each language with a different view
Sexy and sultry in French, playful in English, depth in Yoruba…..
Words would be unlimited, with metaphors comparing you to the beautiful things in life

If I was a poet, I’d write and write and never be satisfied
then i'd realize that my poem will never be as beautiful as you.

...If u're talking about the poem then by all means keep strugglin cos this is a nice one. u shud kind of work on makin the vocab flawless tho - not that it really matters sha.
