Girl, you should always remember where you come from. Dont you think it is better to get noticed for what you believe in and who you really are....Ponder on that. I used to feel weird too until people started commenting me on the attire....

I am so much in love with african attire!!!! I like to wear iro & buba (+aso oke), wrapper & blouse (+ headgear) to church on Sundays and wedding occasions. I wear kaftan and boubous at weekends (casually) because they are so free. Believe, heads turn anytime I deck myself in these african attire!!!

I too love wearing traditional. At times when I dont feel like braiding or perming, I will wear my traditional and even tread my hair. I am so into it when I am into it. My parents are so happy that I am so Naija oriented because I was born and raised here. They were so worried that I would be"lost".
I try and tell them that sometimes the ones that were born and raised in Nigeria are the ones that try to change to assimilate to a point of no return. Just my two cents again. ![]()
