Default Do Nigerians wear Kaba?

I am just curious, do Nigerians wear Kaba. I don't know if Kaba is its generic name or Ghanaian name but clothing like the ones below. I ask, b/c I hardly see young Nigerian women wearing this or their parents (they usually wear lace with the jele thing). However, I always assumed it was a West African thing.

Ghanaian Kaba:

Interesting- you learn new things each day!!! I guess that is where the confusion comes from- a word used to describe certian material, used in Ghana to describe a certain dress style (because of the predominance of that material used in making it).

I love these Nigerian styles:

When I went home in April, in Lagos at least, a lot of young girls were wearing "up and down" sewn out of Ankara (Wodin, they call it in Togo & C d'I)

The Kente is the national cloth, and the Kaba is the national attire (what we wear to social gatherings). I am thinking maybe the Kaba means something else but is spelled the same way as the Yoruba word for ankara b/c in Ghana it referrs to a specific type of dress/style. You can have Kente Kaba or Ankara Kaba (

This is how the national attire is usually worn:
