Cool site, although I saw one unusual (incorrect?) translation--ekpe is translated as lion instead of leopard in their animal dictionary. Efik/Ibibio speakers, please clarify...

Ariya or anyone have u read the book "Who are the Ibibio?" it was written by Dr Edet Udo, he also was co-editor of the book, Ikenga. I picked it up in naija last time, rather interesting, but somewhat confusing.

Well Ibibio is quet simple if you really wanna learn, you know.
Let's start with simple words and their English translations.
For instance, colours
awawa means green
abubit means black
afia means white etc.
You can proof me wrong coz I'm also learning.
