Okay so the idea isn't all mine..
Inspired by Sophia, I was wondering if we could like have someone upload gele tying class? On Youtube or similar. Because I am tired of asking for help every time I have to wear traditional, and I am sure I am not the only one. What do you all think?

My name is Shakara and i approve this message.
I was at a wedding this past weekend and there was a dude there who can tie Gele sumnfierce!!!! i'm talking about any style and layers.. the kinis looked like wrapped candy.... and the dude was charging $10.00 to tie each gele. mehn at first i was like hellz no 1 i wasn't gonna pay but after begging 2 million pple to help me tie and no takers, i ponied up the money to have him hook me up. (i sha made sure to watch when he was tying others gele tho.....the next day, i had some time on ma hand and i was darned if i spent another 10 dollars on the shege. i parked myself in front of the mirror and on my 3rd try, i got a very nice looking design that i tied all by myself.. my friend event thot the dude had done it for me. .... i was even afraid of unraveling the thing after the ceremony but i decided that next time, i will use the same paitience i used to tie it again for myself isntead of paying money.... anyway, my point is, if u know the basic steps, u can prolly do it ourselves.... especially if i who has never done it in my life can.... |

ok here's an attempt. If i ever get a chance, i'll take the steps in pictures
1. take your scarf and fold it into a triangle like you would a regular silk scarf 2. the scarf should be rectangle-shaped, so use the two long ends to make the triangle 3. position the scarf just like you would when you're about to tie a regular silk scarf 4. start tying it like you would your regular scarf, only this time instead of tying a knot in the back, you are wrapping it around to the front again. 5. when you're doing this, some of the material will 'fall' out of your grip, but that's okay. just make sure that you have the scarf tied on tightly. 6. now wrap it around to the back again, and put a knot in. 7. fluff out the excess that fell out of your grip into your desired style
