well, may be back in the days, cookery is an art and anything goes, all we're longing for is a good and tasty meal with great flavor and wonderful texture ..so if tomato is needed to get to that end, throw it in...............

My style is very contemporary sha, I use and manipulate a lot of ingredients including tomato to amplify taste/flavor. Tomato is an enhancer, it balances other flavors like salt, bitter kicks from bitter leaf and other ingredients.

Go ahead, cut up a piece and throw it in with onions and garlic.
