Wassup baby girl. Shit, I want to know a lot. If your spellin might be wrong, then I just need to learn it vocally, cuz once I learn the wrong spelling, it will be hard as hell to unlearn it.

When we're greeting someone older we add e, if it's someone your age mate or younger, you can lose the e.

Goodmorning=E Karo ma/sir
Goodafternoon=E k'asan ma/sir
Gooodnight as in Kachifo=O daro (in this case, we add ma/ sir when its someone older, not e)

How are you doing=Ba wo ni?
Reply= Mo wa alright or gbo gbo e dun=I'm alright. Everything is sweet/going well.

How you dey=Sho wa?
Reply= mo wa pa=I dey kampe!

Ki lon shele=What's up?
Reply=ko si pupo=Nothing much, or oro wa=there's a lot to talk about.

Get a book called 'jeki a ko Yoruba' should be available on amazon. (do not confuse with jeki a ka Yoruba' which is more advanced.

My friends Boyf (Jamaican) bought it to learn a bit of yoruba to suprise her ...and he actually could string basic sentences together after reading the book .

Saying 'sun re' is the equivalent of 'sweet dreams' . Its informal . Odaro is the formal greeting
