Horrifically sad news this morning. What was supposed to be a joyous occasion for rapper turned preacher turned reality TV star Joseph Simmons (aka Run of Run DMC) ended up becoming a nightmare for the reverend and his wife, Run's House co-star Justine Simmons. Justine's pregnancy was the cliffhanger on the MTV show last season. It generated intense interest among viewers who have been anxiously following the pregnancy and awaiting the birth. MTV cameras were on hand this past week to film the birth of the baby. Unfortunately, the birth became a burial as the baby girl was born and quickly pronounced dead. Doctors delivered the baby via c-section, only to reveal the sad occurrence that the girl was born with organs outside the body. The newborn died a short time later. Our sincere condolences.



Howard K. Stern looked totally OUT OF IT on Larry King Live last night on CNN when he announced that he (not photographer Larry Birkhead) is the father of Anna Nicole Smith's new baby girl, Danilynne Hope. Stern also revealed plans to marry the reality TV star. He seemed to have a tough time keeping his eyes open during his appearance.



Paris Hilton has been charged with drunk driving stemming from her September 7 arrest. The socialite was caught driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 per cent - the minimum to warrant an arrest under California law. Paris could be jailed for six months and fined $1,000.



Lindsay Lohan is finally checking out of the famed Chateau Marmont hotel and moving into an apartment she purchased just down the street. The Mean Girls star bought a luxury suite in the Sierra Towers building just a few blocks down on the Sunset Strip, but even after extensive renovations she remained at the posh hotel. According to New York Post's Page Six, hotel managers want to evict their most famous resident after more than a year of disruptions and late night partying. Lohan has reportedly taken her apartment off the market and decided to move in herself after having difficulty selling it at the $2.85 million asking price.



He may have played nerdy eighth-grader Screech in the sitcom "Saved by the Bell," but former TV geek Dustin Diamond can now take his place with Paris Hilton, Colin Farrell, Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson as the star of his very own sex tape. Everyone who remembers Diamond as a lovable putz is in for a shock once they see a 40-minute video in which he engages in a kinky three-way with two women, sources tell us. We can't get too graphic here, but word is that the action includes some bodily functions and an act known as a "Dirty Sanchez." Phoenix-based agent David Hans Schmidt, who has brokered some of Hollywood's biggest celebrity-skin deals, confirms that he's acquired the rights to a tape featuring Diamond. "Just when you think you have seen everything in this business," he tells us, "mankind has raised the bar another notch. Or lowered it." Schmidt is in L.A., shopping the tape to Hustler's Larry Flynt, Vivid's Steven Hirsch and other major distributors of adult video. The sex vid's working title is "Saved by the Smell." Ewwwww.



Steve Irwin’s widow Terri Irwin has spoken about her grief for the first time, following the death of her Crocodile Hunter husband earlier this month. Despite being so heartbroken she has been "curled up on the floor in a fetal position" many times, Terri has received strength and encouragement from her eight-year-old daughter Bindi. In an interview aired on Australia's Channel 9 last night, Terri reveals, "She says, 'Mummy, why are you worried? Daddy's still with us.'" Terri also says she will see to it that the video of her husband getting stung will never hit the public or internet.


The father of "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino has filed a $10 million libel suit against the publisher of a book about his daughter, alleging that it contains "false, exaggerated, sensational, intentional and malicious untruths." In papers filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Joseph Barrino is seeking damages from Simon & Schuster, which released "Fantasia: Life Is Not a Fairy Tale" in 2005. The book was made into a TV movie, starring Fantasia, that aired on the Lifetime network in August. Among the details disputed by Joseph Barrino: that he was hostile to the music industry, that he asks his daughter for money when she visits him, that his children's musical careers were more important than their education. Although Simon & Schuster's Web site lists Fantasia Barrino as the book's author, the lawsuit alleges that the singer's grandmother, Addie Collins, was the ghost writer.


Russell Crowe has branded acting on Baz Luhrmann's new Australian outback movie "charity work for major studios." The Antipodean star was due to feature in the as yet untitled movie alongside Nicole Kidman, but quit over money wrangles and was replaced by Hugh Jackman in June. At the time, Crowe gave no clues about his departure from the romantic epic but now fumes, "I just didn't want to work on that movie in the type of environment that was being created because of the needs of the budget. I do charity work, but I don't do charity work for major studios." The movie was due to begin production this month, but has been postponed to February because of scheduling conflicts and the continuing budget row with 20th Century Fox, according to the Hollywood Reporter.


Tori Spelling and new husband Dean McDermott are expecting their first child together according to comedian Kathy Griffin. The couple married in May in Fiji and have made no secret of their desire to start a family as soon as possible. Griffin was performing her stand-up show in Birmingham, Alabama last week and told the crowd, "Tori Spelling's pregnant by the way. It's not public yet, but I'm putting it out there." The normally svelte Spelling, recently seen on acclaimed sitcom So NoTORIous, has been spotted around Los Angeles wearing baggy clothes, fueling speculation the couple are expecting.


Nicole Richie has slammed rumors she has entered a rehabilitation facility to treat an eating disorder. Media reports on Monday claimed The Simple Life star checked herself into rehab, but she was photographed on Tuesday strolling with boyfriend Brody Jenner in Malibu, California. Richie posted the following message on her official MySpace page saying, "Contrary to CNN's false accusations, I did not check myself into an eating disorder rehab. I don't know why or how this rumor started, but I am home, in LA, and very happy. I do not have an eating disorder, and I don't know how many times I have to say it. I've repeated myself so many times, I feel like a broken record. Whoever started this rumor is evil and mean, but it's not true. I am happy, and healthy, and living my life."

Former Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon insists she never suppressed her lesbianism, despite having left her male partner Danny Mozes for a woman in 2003. The red-haired actress fell in love with Christine Marinoni, a relationship which turned her life upside down. But she maintains there was no internal struggle with her sexuality, claiming she simply fell in love with someone else - and gender is immaterial. She says, "I never felt like there was an unconscious part of me around that woke up or that came out of the closet. There wasn't a struggle, there wasn't an attempt to suppress. I met this woman, I fell in love with her, and I'm a public figure."


Scrubs star actress Judy Reyes is recovering after fracturing her pelvis during a fall last Wednesday. Reyes, who plays nurse Carla Espinosa on the show, will be released from hospital next Monday. Her representative, Monique Ward, tells American publication People, "She's going to be fine. She had an accidental fall at home and fractured her pelvis on Wednesday. She had surgery to repair it on Thursday. She didn't realize it was as bad as it was and still went to work. Once there, she realized she needed medical treatment. She went to a hospital from the set." Reyes will be on crutches for approximately six weeks, but is expected to shoot some scenes while she heals, while other parts of the filming schedule will be reworked so that she can complete her scenes at a later date.
